Mr. Lakhinder Bir Singh is a third generation lawyer and a law graduate of 1972 from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He was enrolled as an Advocate in 1972 and initially started practicing before the Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh. Since then, he has been in active practice for the over more than 50 years now. His specialization is civil & criminal litigation, railway matters, constitutional litigation, revenue disputes, arbitration, service matters, etc. He also served as standing & senior counsel for Indian Railway. Mr. Lakhinder regularly appears before the Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh and Central Administrative Tribunal.
He has contested over thousands of cases for private corporate clients. Indian Railways, Container Corporation of India, Indian Railway Construction Company, Punjab & Sind Bank are few to write about. To share his relevant experience, he served as Additional Advocate General, Punjab for over 6 years, Railway Senior Panel Counsel from 1981 to 2013, Railway Standing Counsel from 2014 to 2022.
Besides this, he was appointed as a part time lecturer in Panjab University from 1982 to 1986 & paper setter for LLB Examination of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
